Managed SAP/BI implementation for SD, MM, Finance areas; oversaw 30+ functional, middleware and technical resources to complete requirements and design phase. Collaborated with business and IT to outline data consolidation, migration, conversion requirements (utilizing BO Data Services) and ironed out integration touch points between functional areas. Mentored and oversaw three dozen onsite and offshore resources to deliver multiple system enhancements, refreshes, migrations and integration projects. Successfully collaborated with multidisciplinary stakeholders, infrastructure team, and PMO to implement, optimize and automate business processes. Ø       SOX and Financial Audit support for 2013 external and internal audit consisting of complex data extraction requirements of SAP financials. Also enhanced, documented business processes to put controls in place to make Safety-Kleen SOX compliant. Facilitated sessions with business and IT to prepare SOX documentation for SAP-Oracle integration and migration project.

 

Ø       Sales, Finance, HCM data migration and system redesign from BW/SAP to SQL Server, PeopleSoft/Oracle, and CRM. Oversaw documentation of existing processes, interfaces, and conducted impact and gap analysis. Offloaded data using SQL SSIS, native SQL, FTP methods to load into new systems. Facilitated discussions with vendors and IT teams to rebuild processes and real time services into .Net. Also managed data migration for millions of pricing records, conversion and migration of ERP interfaces.

 

Ø       SAP Finance (AP, AR, GL) and Peoplesoft financials conversion and integration and reconciliation including payables, receivables, and ledgers including intercompany transactions. Implemented and supported cash application processes of lockbox, EBS, and positive pay. Managed and mentored offshore and onsite teams to perform data mining, cleansing, conversions and loads to BI using various ETL tools (SQL scripts, SSIS and SSRS) from Peoplesoft and other non-SAP resources.

 

Ø       Technical architect for Supply Chain Optimization for procure to pay, shipping, receiving, and vendor sourcing. Architected and automated MRP processes. Interacted with business and managed SAP configurations, ABAP changes, user testing and verification. Mass updated master and transaction data using SQL scripts to update product forecasting and MRP settings. Also educated business groups to accurately decipher MRP exceptions and drive higher efficiencies by avoiding manual excel steps. Helped business setup Sales and Operation planning in SAP for select products. Results were increased system reliability, low inventory, fewer stock outs, shorter lead times, optimal reorder points, and better discounts. 

 

Ø       ECC/BI 6.0 upgrade key participant in vendor RFP process, SOW reviews, server sizing, landscape layout, storage solutions, and upgrade strategy selection (downtime-minimized). Managed remediation process (SPAU/SPDD), resources to support parallel projects, dual maintenance for production and project landscapes, business process inventory and test scripts library buildups. Also led data cleansing efforts across different business groups and IT (DBAs, developers) for master data clean up.

 

Ø       Performed successful mainframe migration by directing SAP/BW team for sales, MM, finance implementation, integration and automation of processes between systems. Oversaw ~60 master and transaction data migrations from Mainframe to SAP. Major challenges dealt were multi-tiered pricing engine, variable qty sales BOMs, sales order, invoice IDocs from order management (.Net front-end with BizTalk middleware). Also managed over 80 RFCs/BAPIs, create/edit customers, customer hierarchies and sales contracts. Integrated SAP with Trillium for master data cleansing and address standardization, with Sabrix for taxes, with IXOS for vendor invoices, with XiPay for credit card processing, with GetPaid for AR collection, with Hyperion for financial data. 

 

Ø       SAP and BI OS/DB migration from UNIX/Oracle to Windows/SQL Server, worked with DBAs, infrastructure, data center (3^rd party), PMO, IT teams and business. Major tasks were managing and mentoring onsite and offshore teams (SAP, BW, Basis and Security) for Unicode conversion, data mining and migration, failover testing, test case library build out, detailed testing and verification, transport management, user acceptance testing, defect tracking and project plan prep and execution.

Ø       SAP BW Technical Upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0 as solution architect and managed onsite and offshore resources for time-bound upgrade and handled multiple issues with time-line, manual configurations, Unicode conversion and transports to upper environments.  Worked with infrastructure, basis, and 3^rd party data center teams for server readiness and verification.

 

Ø      Technical Lead for CRM-SAP integration and migration from SalesForce.Com to MS Dynamics to reduce licensing costs, expand scalability and functionality. Migrated large volume of data to MSD with customized features, real-time customers, contacts and contracts. Completed the project in 4 months and Safety-Kleen was recognized at MSD Convergence 2012 for successful roll out.

ERP Project Lead and Senior Application Designer

Supported SAP Sales, Logistics, MM, IM, WM processes. Architected real-time and batch interfaces with web world, EDI partners, CRM, and BW systems. Developed and implemented ITSM related release processes and successfully received ISO 20000 certification. Also performed master data archiving project and managed application of SAP patches and OSS notes. Ø       Served as Team Lead SAP 3PL implementation to connect logistics partners and improve data transfer times between systems, reducing transportation bottlenecks and lowering costs. Integrated SAP logistics with multiple freight vendors to enable automated data flow and seamless integration for distribution of products. Customized SAP per Samsung requirements and utilized EDI. Streamlined and automated warehouse operations like shipment notifications, picking, packing, good issue, invoice creation, and invoice receipt for freight carriers such as Turbo, Schneider, Challenger, and UPS.

 

Ø      Served as Technical Lead in BW implementation to improve brand value in global markets by creating Executive Dashboards with real-time data to make intelligent decisions in volatile markets. Rolled out BW for FI/CO, SD, MM and Service modules. Participated in requirement gathering, data modeling, data extraction from SAP and non-SAP sources, implementation, production support, and DB tuning and optimization. Trained key users to create BW queries, helped creation and distribution of BW metrics reports. Designed info-objects, info-sources, and delta loads, ODS objects, info-cubes and multi-cubes, process chains, query performance, and creation of aggregates. Ø       Served as Technical Lead for CRM Implementation for campaign management, master data segmentation, and call center integration with SAP. Imported data from external data sources to create a centralized repository of consumer data which included imports from Samsung PRC cards, Samsung fun club, Samsung accessory web sales, Global email marketing system, online web blasts, campaigns, and promotions. Applied Project Management skills in project initiation, resource allocation, timeline creation, contingency plan creation, and scope control.

 

Ø       Served as Team Lead and Developer for UPS Worldship Implementation designed to transfer shipment information in real time from SAP to UPS Worldship for US/CAN. Provided seamless integration, error reduction, and efficiency improvement among customs, order management, and logistics groups. Canadian customs automated to eliminate shipping point bottlenecks.

 

Ø       Developed and designed Cyber Payment Center for online payments for US/CA customers. Solution was integrated and automated from payment receipt to bank reconciliation and settlement with real-time interfacing with SAP-AR and other trading partners. Customer satisfaction doubled and payments were received much quicker, improving cash balances. Team received “Best Practice Project Award” among all global Samsung subsidiaries.
